Mitsubishi
Lancer is specially designed for Indian road conditions. Its innovative
technology combines economy with performance. Mitsubishi Lancer
comes with wax injection, which improves resistance to body corrosion
in rust prone areas and its tropicalised AC is customized for Indian
conditions.
Mitsubishi Lancer comes in both petrol
and diesel options. Petrol option comes in two variants-1.5-litre
and 1.8-litre engines-and diesel option comes with 2.0-litre engine.
Lancer has optimum power to weight ratio
- 87/1010 bhp/kg ~ 0.0861 bhp/kg which provides for its excellent
stability. Its smaller turning radius of 5.1m makes it easy to
maneouvre in city traffic. The flat torque curve of the Lancer
provides better tractability allowing one to drive without shifting
gears frequently.
The Lancer's safety-enhanced body structure
comprises front and rear crushable zones that effectively absorb
the impact energy of front & rear collisions. Other safety
features include: highly rigid cabin structure, centrally located
fuel tank, ventilated disc brakes, and collapsible steering column.
